…seems kinda’ pointless if you use it alone. Wanna’ be my Google Wave friend – whether you already have an account or need an invite? One only gets 8, I believe.
(Note: so far, I’m a little baffled by it. I can totally understand how in a business context it could be amazing. For schlubs like me, however, I’m not quite clear on what benefits it’s going to have.)

I’d be your Google Wave Buddy in exchange for an invite, if you’re actually giving them out.
Watching the videos, I’m a little torn between “holy crap groundbreaking” and “overdesigned overcomplex thing that’ll never catch on”. It’s like the Anti-Twitter.

They seem to be going out really slowly. Sent a friend one on Thursday and he hasn’t gotten it yet either. Maybe they’re trying to roll them out bit by bit? (Though in Google Wave, when you invite someone it says “We have a lot of stamps to lick”.)
As a programmer, it’ll probably much more interesting to you. I’m a little confused by it.

If anyone is checking this – apparently, they aren’t invites as such. They’re ‘nominations’ – so ‘inviting’ you just bumps you up the queue. The criteria are obviously pretty arbitrary since, well, I’m in.
Sorry folks. Keep waiting, I guess?

I want one although my room-mate already got his so the surprise is slightly ruined.
Maybe it will be more exciting once I am there making friends?
